Luke Combs released “Giving Her Away,” and a studio video to accompany it, Friday.
The country music artist, 35, is seen reading the song’s lyrics from a sheet of paper, as he addresses the father of his bride in the studio video.
“Yeah, I know it’s gotta be tough, and you’re happy but you’re hurting behind that smile. You’ll always be her first love, and mine’s walking down the aisle,” he sings. “The song’s about to play. We’re gonna say, ‘I do,’ and for the rest of my days, I’ll do my best to fill your shoes.”
Combs also released an Instagram reel Friday that shows him singing and playing the song on guitar.
“Girl dad here… This one punched me right in the heart,” one fan commented on that post.
