Olivia Rodrigo is back with new music.
The singer-songwriter, 23, released her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, and a music video for the song “Stupid Song” on Friday.
The “Stupid Song” video shows Rodrigo walk the streets of New York with a group of ballerinas as she sings about how a love interest has her feeling overwhelmed and “totally insane” with longing.
Rodrigo performed “Stupid Song” Thursday on Jimmy Kimmel Live! following the album’s release.
You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love also features the tracks “Drop Dead,” “Honeybee,” “Maggots for Brains,” “U + Me = <3,” “My Way,” “Purple,” “The Cure,” “Begged,” “What’s Wrong with Me” with Robert Smith, “Less,” “Expectations” and “Cigarette Smoke.”
In an interview Wednesday on Kimmel, Rodrigo discussed how the album is “about being in love, but in sort of a nuanced way, and it definitely has its highs and lows.”
You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is Rodrigo’s follow-up to her Grammy-nominated 2023 album, Guts.
