Kacey Musgraves is returning with new music.

The songstress, 37, announced Middle of Nowhwere, and dropped the first single and music video from that album on Thursday.

The music video for “Dry Spell” shows the music artist walking through a grocery store as she sings about being “tired of keeping my hands to myself.”

“Ain’t nobody’s tool up in my shed, ain’t nobody’s boots under my bed, ain’t nobody’s truck up in my drive for a late night call, for a real good time,” she sings.

“I typically always have been in relationships. This was the longest period in my adult life where I was on my own, and I had gone through a break up,” Musgraves told NPR, discussing the song’s origin. “I was taking stock of my relationships and what I wante(ed) in my life, and really learning how to lean into being alone. I started really loving my singledom.”

“I wrote most of this record in the longest single period of my life,” she added.

The album, which drops May 1, also includes the songs “Middle of Nowhere,” “Back on the Wagon,” “I Believe in Ghosts,” “Abilene,” “Coyote,” “Loneliest Girl,” “Everybody Wants to Be a Cowboy,” “Horses and Divorces,” “Uncertain, TX,” “Rhinestoned,” “Mexico Honey” and “Hell on Me,” and features collaborations with Alan Isakov, Billy Strings, Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert.

She shared that her collaboration with Lambert allowed the country music stars to “air out any of the old laundry.”

“We’d lost touch for years and wouldn’t consider each other friends. I saw her on Instagram one day, riding one of her horses, and I was like, ‘Well, we ain’t friends, but I guess we have two things in common, horses and divorces, that’s for sure. Wait, that could be a really funny song. What if it’s a duet with her? What if I got her to write on it?'” she told NPR.

“…So it was very full circle in so many ways. We aired out any of the old laundry. We had some laughs and wrote the song in a matter of a few hours,” she added.
