Hilary Duff is back with her first new single in a decade.
The singer and former Lizzie McGuire star released the song “Mature” on Friday, along with a music video to accompany it.
“‘Mature’ speaks to my mature self calling my not so mature self on the phone many years ago, and she’s letting her know we landed softly,” Duff wrote in an Instagram post promoting the track.
“This was a brief time with a lover that left me with so many questions… It felt like a good place to start. How are we feeling… Mature?”
The music video opens with the singer getting ready at her vanity.

As the song continues, videos see her performing the song in a glittering gold dress on stage.
“She looks like she could be your daughter, like me before I got smarter, when I was flattered to hear you say, ‘You’re so mature for your age, babe,'” she sang.
Duff released her album Breathe In. Breathe Out. in 2015.
