AMA Awards: Taylor Swift leads with 8 nominations

Taylor Swift led the field with eight nods when nominations for the fan-voted American Music Awards were announced Tuesday.
Swift is up for the AMAs for Artist of the Year, Best Female Pop Artist, Album of the Year and Best Pop Album for The Life of a Showgirl, Song of the Year, Best Music Video and Best Pop Song for “The Fate of Ophelia,” and Song of the Summer for “Elizabeth Taylor.”
Shortlisted for Artist of the Year along with Swift are Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, BTS, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen and Sabrina Carpenter.
Olivia Dean and SOMBR earned seven nods apiece as first-time nominees.
They will compete in the New Artist of the Year category with Alex Warren, Ella Langley, KATSEYE and Leon Thomas.
Queen Latifah is hosting the event live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25.
The show will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+
